Phone replacement

I have a very original X308 with a MOTOROLA-M8989-PHONE-HANDSET.
Is there any replacement upgrade for this as it is 2G which we have not used DownUnder in about 5-6 years?

2G hasn't been used in over 14 yrs in the states. Your only upgrade is the phone on your hip because that Motorola isn't upgradable.
