It took almost 2000 miles to get my Jag from the north of Europe, for it's age it's a beauty. Doesn't mean there ain't work to be done to it but in general it's fine.
Some pics which I took this afternoon, just below Paris on my way back home.
Yes, the 7-series is mine, as well as the trailer and the Jag.
For those who are interested, the BMW is an 740i with an 4.4 Liter V8 and tuned to 330HP. Got the dyno sheet to prove it.
PS: The license on the 7-series is pure coincidence, we don't have personalized plates in France. So it's not a 750.
The Jaguar is an XJ8 from 1998 with the 3.2L engine in it. It has got new chain guides and tensioners already as well as an upgraded water pump, so I'm not worried about those.
There is some work to be done to the wheel arches at the back but for it's age it really looks good. Other issues are the ESP which gives an error message so I have to look into that. Some lights in the center console have to be replaced and I think it needs a new belt and maybe tensioners.
Then some other bits and pieces but I will come across those when I start doing her up.
The 7 is a great car and I'm not gonna sell it, after all it's my wife who wanted the Jag. I can just imagine the reaction of your German friend Eric! Keep me posted.
To complete the overall picture, got 2 more cars. One being an BMW Z3 Coupe with the magnificent straight 6 (2.8L - 193hp) in it and the other is a 25-year old Honda CRX. The CRX engine is totally rebuild by myself and did just over 600 miles. The rest of the car did about 100.000 miles but each and every moving part is new.
If somebody wants to see pics of those 2 I'll post them.
