Got rid of her recently but same exact thing, one finger

This is where my original 1.6" estimate originated from, 245/40-19 19x8.5 15et

That's an awesome x308 you have there Could you give me some more info regarding your previous 19" BBS-style wheels? I really like the way they look. Do you think they would fit on Brembo-equipped XJR's?

With "one finger" of clearance do you have issues with tire rubbing on the inside or edge of the fender, especially front wheels when turned?

I've got a slightly, very slightly, tighter gap from OEM no where near as close as yours and my front tire rubs the inside liner when turned.

.

All X308s and X100s are 5x120.7 technically, a 5x120 does fit though. My car originally came with an aftermarket 5x120 and the Equips are 5x120 as well. If your a stickler have the 5x120s drilled out to 5x120.7, I just had wheels last week only available in one size drilled from 5x115 cb66 to a 5x112 73.1. Lots of custom wheel places do that these days. With that being said, 5x120 fits 5x120.7 in my experience just the same and fine.
Rubbing.... the only times I rub up front are is on the pass side turning right while going up a relatively steep incline on inside fender plastic, otherwise no rubbing up front. In rear only rubbing is on massive bumps on rear pass inner well. I have rolled and trimmed my fender lips where necessary so there is no tire/fender damage, this is not my first rodeo when it comes to lowering/stancing cars. For being marginally lowered, being an aggressive offset/tire size with 33/33et, and with only minor lip rolling and rear fender lip trimming l am more than happy with results Can't exactly order any of this directly out of a catalog so its always trial and error

I believe he meant the R32 Golf he referenced. Just a heads up, sooner or later someone's gonna bust your ***** for bad grammar. An LS swap, eh? Start a build thread... 😀

Haha got it . Sorry no instagram, i'm that guy in deep woods NH that doesn't even have facebook. The work equips are made by the company ESR. Got rid of the R32 because my wife and myself are VWphiles and always will be, always have at least one watercooled VW "project" in the house. R32 handled like a dream after I was done with it and it was decent to begin with, and boy that 3.2 screams when you let it breath with the right mods. Finishing our 280whp/300tq 4motion Tiguan right now, just finished full R32 Neuspeed suspension install with Golf R sway bars last week, custom intake, Unitronic tune, blah blah VW stuff. Thats is what the new custom 5x112's are for. Just finished this week custom painting and installing this R32 brake kit with 2 piece rotors for a customers '10 GTI that I have highly modified (i ran low 13's without LSD last fall). Dark cherry metallic with custom "plaid" gti graphic I created cleared over 6 coats

Sorry bout that, had to show off some of my other present work I'll post a vid later this week of the car running through the gears with some hard take offs. I had the chance to spend half a day behind the wheel of a Nascar cup car this weekend at New Hampshire Speedway, jumped in the Jag later that day and was not disappointed, still felt very fast. The car bangs through the gears and accelerates more aggressively than it looks these days

FYI there is no way wheels like this will clear Brembos, they callipers stick out way too close to the outside of the car.

I love this thing though The front air dam, twin headlights and dished wheels give it an oldschool American muscle feel that totally suits it.

I feel really bad for not making any progress on mine recently. Buying a house will do that to projects

I was actually referring to his previous wheels, which were more of a BBS style wheel. I think I might just stick with the factory asteroid wheels, and use some spacers.

If you need any measurements I would be happy to break out the micrometer or ruler with either sets of wheels I hope to find out what fits myself if I can ever score some Brembos. Knowing me i'll be custom fitting a pair of Cayenne Brembos or maybe some off a CTS-V, whatever is cheapest at the junkyard that day

After the Nashua Cruise Night tonight tried to get a couple sound clips of my "Friday night soundtrack" echoing off the trees on my road. I never get sick of that sound

Very nice sound greverrr, pretty sweet, I like that a lot. Lots of folks like the tunnel noise (I do also, but we don't have tunnels in FL). But I grew up in an area (PA) with lots of trees and there's just something about it as it falls down into the valley.
