Default Poor Gas Mileage

Just had the trans replaced, had a bunch of codes I cleared.

Getting 9.6 mpg city.

Anything I can do to reset or increase the mileage?

Not sure why its so bad.

Did a TB clean.

thanks

I don't like to sound like a pundit but make sure everything is tight fit . I got a poor fuel consumption in my dad's car and that turned out to be a loose hose and broken PCV Hose

Check the O2 sensors are connected correctly - the centre plastic cover under the bonnet needs taking off, and look down behind the engine where it joins the gearbox, the O2 sensors connect up on a bracket there. If they're not connected it would throw a code though?
Would have been nice to see what codes you cleared! have they come back and can you post them? It would help, greatly.

These are the codes I cleared:
1. P 1722
2. P 1316
3. P 1000
4. P 0732
5. P 0175
6. P 0171
7. P 0308
8. P 0307
9. P 0300

They have not come back, I switched 2 O2 sensors, and yesterday did a hard reset.

I believe the 2 trans codes were from the old trans.

So how is the gas mileage now ant? was the advice useful, a rather short info'less statement from you?
Followups are valuable in fixing faults, it's not just for your car!

Mileage went to 13.7, but I still want to measure the old way at next fill up.

i just recently went through exactly what yo are talking about. the independent jag specialist who did the trans used his equipment to clear all th prior trans codes. the 0131 i took care of by replacing the pass side upstream 02 sensor , the 0171/0175 i took care of by cleaning the mass airflow sensor / intake piping and t-body. the p1000 cleared when i did the hard reset. for good measure i also disconnected the pos and neg batt cables and let it sit for about 20 min. so far nothing has returned. dont know if it was related , but i replaced any vacuum hose i could find with silicone hose. the ones around the t-body were very brittle and deteriorated.
