Power seat back angle not moving forward
I have a 2001 jaguar xj8 vanden plas I tilted the seat back but now it won't tilt back up. Everything else works fine. I'm pretty sure it's the module but I'm wondering if there's a way that i get it to tilt back up temporarily so I can drive it in the mean time

Does a motor run when you select the tilt? 100% of all my electric seat failures
are due to drive cables failing. I have some seat pictures on my profile photos.
The seat is held down with 4 torx bolts. Good to disconnect the battery first since
there is a side airbag and if the seat starts to move, it will take fingers with it.

Seat module
If the seat will recline but not return then there is probably nothing wrong with the drive assembly. It is probably the control module. The easy troubleshoot is to remove the drivers module and place it in the passenger seat. If everything works normal then YEAH it's the module.
Darrel Turner repairs these for a reasonable price compared to replacing. I am in the process of sending him one from my KX8. He can be reached at 858-649-9090.
Make sure that the drivers module gets back in it's seat. It will work in the passengers seat but I think it has more features do to the driver memory system
