Hi
Do I need to change all the hoses when changing the PS PUMP ? I can't figure out if my mechanic is pulling a fast one on me... The car is in another state so can't see it.
And if so What are the correct parts number for the Hi and low pressure hoses ? I believe that the two main ones to change
Are they similar to the ones found on non SC models or just specific to XJR ?
the car has 60 k
Thank you
Terry

It would be most helpful if you identified the make and year of your vehicle in your signature. Assuming you have an x308 I have attached the parts diagram. The NA and SC are the same units.
Without seeing the hoses it is impossible to judge the aging and condition of the hoses. I would assume like any good mechanic he is not wanting to go back in there for a hose failure after installing a new pump and would judge on the side of prudence. As an owner i would not be pleased to have to take the vehicle back to pat for a hose that would have been easier to replace while the pump was being replaced. Just my 2 cents.

Yes Jim
I'm such a schmuck ! I want to buy it and trying to see if I can find the parts as a lower price the 875 for a Steering Pump
I have been looking for an XJR for 2 years now... I'm sure its my fault I'm not picky
Im a musician not a mechanic.. but I also need to learn how to do certain repairs my self .
