Programming a new key with no interior
I am planning to take my car to the dealer to get a new key, valet key, and fob. The car has only one key and fob and I want to have a spare so I don't lock myself out accidentally while I'm doing various mechanical repairs. Plus I want a complete car!
I have the seats (except the drivers seat) and center console removed for cleaning and carpet replacement but I don't want to reinstall everything until I'm done with the mechanical work so everything stays clean. Will not having the interior intact have any affect on the dealer being able to program the new key to the car? Thanks again!

Thanks for the replies. I will ask when I call for the appointment, but I wanted to get the thoughts of the forum first in case the consensus was "OMG yes, you have to have the seats and console installed and connected or it won't work!". In which case I would rethink my schedule a bit.
