Default Radio Removal XJ 1998

Hi, any tips on removing the radio from an XJ8 1998. I've lost the radio code, and need to get the numbers from the radio itself, plus a few other issues. Thanks.

The process is fairly easy -- you need to remove the part that surrounds the shifter, then pry off (carefully) the wooden "ski slop" that surrounds the j-gate and the radio, etc. Be very careful not to break the wooden piece. Then you'll see how to unscrew the radio.

For more detailed info, you can search this site for removing j-gate or the like.

Good luck.
