Re-affixing the rain-sensor to the windshield
What transparent goop/gummy-adhesive can I safely use to re-affix the rain-sensor to the windshield?
My rainsensor goop was no-longer really transparent from age (and thus not sensing rain accurately) and so about a year ago I removed the sensor and replaced the original goop with 3M clear-stickies that someone here recommended, but unfortunately they have already failed and are only holding the outer perimeter to the window, leaving slight air-space in front of the center sensor-area making it work totally erratically.
Thank you

Automatic Rain Sensor Fix
My windscreen rain sensor was basically loose in the housing as it had come away from the double stick "gel" pad. It still worked pretty good.
I ordered a new gel pad and properly connected the sensor back to the windscreen.
Now the automatic feature does not work at all.
Any ideas?
Also, is there also a place the detects moisture and helps the windscreen wiper swipe?
Thanks.
