Rear heel boards not staying put.

Rear heel boards not staying put.
My " Jaguar to do list" is getting down to little things that likely only myself would notice lol.
I'm hunting down both rear heel boards/fuse covers in SDZ/Cashmere. Mine don't seem to want to stay put once pressure is applied on the rear seat. The tabs/screws are present but I can't seem to fasten them tight enough ever. Plus I notice the carpet(on the covers) along the edges is loose which is preventing a flush fit.
Is there a secret to lifting the rear bench then inserting the covers & fitting properly ?! I may try & re-glue the loose carpet edging then try to fit them in properly. If anyone has any tips please do share.
If not I will pay a fair "finder's fee" for anyone that can locate them (note my E-Bay account is suspended pending an unjust dispute).

I had a look at mine, but can't really see how this problem can occur.
First, the answer is NO, as the fixing for the seat is behind the covers.
If you remove both covers, you will see how the lower seat unit is mounted; both sides with a 90 degree bracket and a bolt.
It is all a little bit fiddly if loose, but once lined-up and tight, it should prevent the seat cushion from much movement.
Perhaps there is something not tight, or installed the wrong way?
You might start to loosen them a turn, then re-align everything and tight it up?
On the covers; they really need to be slide inward/backward for mounting.
They have some small knuckles to click-fix, then the plastic bolt just keeps all tight.
Finally, while I made the well lighting, I re-glued the carpet and the internal insulation as well.
Just some general carpet glue or identical will do, the stuff you let dry before you push it together.

Yeah maybe I'm just not getting the right angle, (I'm rather wide in this time of the season to be hunched over lol) I'm getting the carpet shampooed in the AM I will conveniently leave them loose where they will surely fall down when that area's worked on lol. I'll tip well though lol.
Thanks too all the tips gents !

I went thru this with a customers car lately. Pull the heel boards out, take the 2 screws out that hold the seat bottom, remove the seat bottom... look how the bottom of the heel board closest to the driveshaft tunnel hooks into a receiving mechanism. Tilt the heel board closed and see how it's supposed to all fit under the top of the seat bottom metal body panel. Basically study how it's supposed to all fit in place with the seat out. If you use a small bright flashlight, you can just about see how it all looks peering inside of the closed heel board from the top. Just have some patience doing this because it's not the greatest design. If you can make a mental note of how it fits in, then reinstall the seat bottom and then the heel boards. Good luck!
