Default Are mine too far gone?

Hi, my mechanic spotted that these bearings were gone on my XJ81. They've been goosed for a long time and the HUB has worn against the wishbone.
will this be cosmetic or do I need a whole new one?

Your talking about two metal products rubbing against each other for quite a time. I'd suggest you go to a junkyard and do some comparing with a micrometer and sourcing possible replacement parts while there. I'd also watch the video KC provided in post #15 just to get an idea of the parts in that area that will also wear and may be gone. Check https://www.car-part.com/ for the parts and/or full on assemblies as well...there are other sources for yards.

Please provide go into your User CP and add your location, model and year so we can direct you more efficiently. NA and EU models each have certain nuances, so this is helpful to you...cheers.

Default Thanks

I suspected this might be the case and have found replacement parts just incase. I was hoping that it would just be cosmetic damage and wouldn't affect the integrity of the parts too much.
cheers

Default Part number

My car is a 1994 XJ81 (XJ40 6.0 V12)
For the rear hub carrier I've seen 2 part numbers
CAC9483P
and
CCC3985

Any ideas of the difference, and which one I'm likely to need?
Thanks in advance

Have you looked them up for comparison with your pics?

Default Hub numbers

Yeah, mine are the ccc3598.
they aren't available anywhere.
I was hoping that it was an insignificant change and that the 2 part numbers were interchangeable as the other type, "CAC9483P" are available
They look the same to me, and are advertised as fitting an XJ40
but I know it doesn't work quite like that.
