Recycled AC doesn't stay on

Is there a way to make the AC stay in recycled air mode? Right now it turns itself off of recycled air mode after roughly 5 minutes. Sometimes I want it to stay in recycled mode and I'll constantly have to push the button to re engage it.

If it is like the XK8, try holding the recirculate button and you should hear two beeps. Then it should stay on.
