Hi all,

Can anybody tell me the difference between central control locking modules with part numbers LNC2600JD and LNC2600JF PLease?
I have a suspected faulty module in my 2000 XJR, currently fitted with the JF suffix part, I wonder if the unit with the JD suffix would be interchangeable, as I've found one for sale (with a new fob).
If so, would it need programming by Jaguar, or could I employ the light stalk flash/key turn story that's often discussed?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Just a note if anybody's looked at this and is curious about the answer. I've just fitted the second hand unit and it all seems to be working fine. Remote central locking repaired. One happy Tony.

Much as I'd love to be able to explain a definitive answer on the programming of these key fobs to everybody, I was lucky. The fobs I bought were already paired to the control module, so it was simply a plug and play affair.
3 bolts, 3 electrical plugs. unit is under the boot (sorry, trunk - I see you're in Dallas!) compartment fuse box. It took about 5 minutes.
