Hi all,

I need to order another remote for my 2001 XJR and I want to make sure I order the right one , so can someone let me know what are the numbers behind the remote I need in order to order the right remote? Dealer told my VIN was showing a remote code : LJE 2610-AB , but what about the other numbers on the back of the remote?

Jean, what numbers are you seeing. Not having a remote in front of me of your style, I'm not sure what numbers you are seeing. I can tell you that one of the numbers that you are seeing will be labeled "FCC ID:" with some series of numbers and letters after it. All that happens to be is a code the US Government has for the particular device indicating that it conforms to a certain frequency range, transmits at a certain power, transmitting a defined set of information.

The big thing that you want to be looking for is the part number (LJE 2610-AB). You meet that, the rest of the numbers on the remote should be identical. Just make sure that the remote has the "AB" on the end. The AB as I recall is the model identifier and over the years, if a change is made to the security system, that gets updated as the data the remote is sending has changed.
