Default Removable roof rack storage options ?!

Thinking about buying a small 2 man bass boat for a near-by lake that's only accessible for small vessels. The boat's dimensions: L 103’(8 ft. 7 in.)’ x W 48’’ x H 20’’ & Weight: 100 lbs. I'd like an easily removable one that wouldn't risk paint damage.

TIA

(2) 2x4's, box 3" #10 self drillers, lots of silicone and the ***** to drill them to the roof...

Absolutely not a fan of these, https://www.walmart.com/ip/TMS-48-Ca...ymmlqJ9UBVhvWY , but the drip rail on the Jag isn't exactly accommodating to much else. Check the ones lower on down on the page also to see if they seem more fitted to the project. Good luck KC....

lol I'm reading that the Thule 300 tower & rack system fits our gutters perfectly. Still researching.

Maybe you can get your hands on a genuine new/used JLM11986 roof rack.
It was apparently available for x300 and x308 models and pops up on eB** or eB** Kleinanzeigen (the german equivalent to Craigslist) from time to time.

*fingers crossed*

I, personally, have a Yakima rack on my x300 that i occasionally put on my x308 when the x300 isn’t „happy” and I usually just run a 7’4 rocket box (that I got on Craigslist from a Honda dealership for $120) but it fits no problem, doesn’t damage the paint, the website clearly tells you the measurements for figment. I got the posts and rails as well as a number of bicycle attachments for $200 on Craigslist and kayak attachments for around $60. I’ve got no complaints whatsoever, that’s the route I would advise.

(Ignore the taillight haha)
Here is how the rack looks on the x300 with bike attachments, I think it looks quite good but that’s just my opinion

So I run a Thule Aeroblade roof rack with the cargo carrier on top. Used it on my '99 VDP and now the XJR-100 (lol). I have a 1500km trip from home to university and I'm often hauling lots of stuff back and forth. Works quite well for my needs!

I have considered the Thule or Yakima rack for years, but never made to buy one yet.

Whatever you do, I have read on the Dutch forum that tightening them too much leaves imprints in your chrome rail, so be careful there.

Sorry to resurrect this thread from the grave...

Charles, did you ever find a roof rack setup? In another newer thread, you mention Thule 300.

Check your local bike shop; they probably sell both that will take a small punt or kayak.
