Default Remove the XJR dashboard

Hi all,

I have a broken a/c fan at on the LH side of the dash - it chirps away like a grasshopper.

I've spoken to two seasoned Jaguar mechanics and they are both very reluctant to remove the dash and replace the fan.

Has anyone here ever done it? I've scoured the forums but can't find much info on doing this.

Regards,
Troy.

Perhaps you can just follow step-by-step instructions in the manual (extract attached).

The pictures in the above link are some reference photos. If only the steering column is removed (assuming you have a LHD car), it’s quite possible the left hand fan can be pulled out of there without pulling the dashboard. It’s been over a year since I’ve done this job so that’s between you and the business to talk about.

@Addicted2boost - unfortunately it's a RHD

@M. Stojanovic - thanks - I'll take a look at the instructions in detail...it looks like one of those "I'm going in" jobs, once you start....
