Removing intake manifold...? RESOLVED
I have searched but cannot find directions on replacing the intake manifold and throttle body gaskets. I am getting the whistling noise. I have no other leaks so in betting in thst being the prob. I am going to replace the part load breather and all the heater hoses as well As the thermostat housing. Anyone have the directions to remove the intake and throttle body handy? Thanks.

I just remove the throttle body and manifold together. Start by draining the coolant and removing the reservoir, being careful to not damage the sensor connector. (this is to give you the room to work around the TB) I believe 4 small bolts (8mm)hold the manifold to brackets on the left and right and then remove the manifold bolts.
Once those are removed, unclip the fuel lines (2) with the special fuel line removal tool from autozone ($5) and undo the fuel injector connectors/throttle body electrical connectors. Next, remove the coolant and vacuum lines from the throttle body and remove the TB/Manifold as one unit.
Alternatively, you can remove the throttle body first (four bolts whare you would expect them to be)looking from above the TB, they are easy to spot (10mm)
The hoses and housing are a walk in the park once you have the manifold off. Consider the $140 octopus hose while you are in there as well if finances allow, as it is a bear to get to.
