Default Replaced Front Lower Control Arm Bushings

Big Improvement

Since I now have 27000 miles and the bushings were replaced at 9000 miles, now the inside edge of the front tires was wearing. After tons of research, I decided to replace the Front Lower Front Bushings. I ordered the bushings for the FrontLower Rear which are dimensionally the same, but firmer.

In short, without research time.

Placed jack stands under front frame. Supportedlower arm with floor jack. Marked position of front alignment bolt, removed bole, removed floor jack. Removed front control arm. Turned a steel bushing the OD of the part to be removed. Hammered out old bushing. Inserted new bushing with10 Ton arbor press. Replaced control arm. Installed front alignment bolt while lifting assembly with floor jack. Set alignment bolt to settings marked.

Really improved handeling.

So you used the front rear in place of the front front?

Yes, the front lower rears are much stiffer. They work really well so far

Default The Pristine Parts Guy at Jaguar will Argue

The Pristine Parts Guy at Jaguar will Argue that point. But, that is where I got the Idea to use the Rear Bushings. So far, I am very satisfied with the improvement in Handling.
