Replaced trans cable, still having same issue (DLS?)
#21
well I tinkered with it again last night. The DLS adjustment is pretty sensitive when doing it in neutral ie there is only a small contact point (3mm?) For the dls to read neutral. There is about twice the amount of play when mounting the DLS than the length of the contact point for neutral inside the switch. I put it together very carefully to ensure it wwas staying in the neutral part on the dls. Put it all back together thinking it was going to work and I still had no illumination for the gear selected or a shifting trans. Cel still on. I jiggled some wires and did a few hard resets and then cleared the cel on my phone app via Bluetooth. Then the gear illumination turned red and lit up for some reason !
It was giving secondary faults too so I cleared those too. Car is running and driving fine now. it is most certainly an electrical connection issue. I ordered a whole new shift assembly because I'm sure the problem is just temporarily fixed. But at least I can dive the big cat now
Thank you sir
