Default The Replacemt to my XJ Sport

There she is. 2002 xjr 100. I do apologize for the lame pic, and car being dirty. But I'll clean her up nicely on the weekend. I haven't been able to pull the cam covers, but I will as soon as this rain stops. Car was was built 12/01 and sold in January 02. I was bidding on this car, sight unseen. It was in Phoenix, AZ. Just drove it back from my dad's car lot. Only got on the gas pedal 1/3 of pedal travel. But you could hear the blower, and car was moving nicely.

Thanks guys! I almost bought a highly modded w211 e55 amg, an Abarth, and a Cooper S S/C manual. I decided against the Abarth and S because, my vette is manual. And wanted to keep the manual car as a weekend car. Love me a manual sports car, but Dallas traffic blows. The AMG is built very well, incredibly fast and pretty good other than the airmatic. But, AMG's are more common and don't have the x308's design. Better looking to me, and love the low roof line it has, especially for a sedan. Nervous but excited lol. More excited than anything.

AMGs you see everyday. But an XJR 100, with those wheels, not so much. I love how it stands out in a crowd. Enjoy.

Agreed Sean, and thanks!

Rain stopped, so I had to find the time pull the cam cover. Very happy.

This is probably a dumb question. But how much boost is "safe" to run stock? I only want to do the upper pulley. Was seeing people say the +1.5lb isn't worth the effort.

Doing the upper pulley will advance the power band of the SC. Your turning the SC faster, thus the higher boost comes in quicker, but your not getting more boost. So you'll get bit more perkier feel to the seat of your pants.

Not sure if it's OK to use this thread as a "build thread". Kind of like @LaserSVT does his thread.
So as far as repairs, I have(with my dad's help) installed new fuel pumps.
New fuel filter.
This weekend:
LED:Turn signals, front and rear. Side markers also. Already did the pilot lights and reverse lights a few months ago.
Installed 5k HID fogs with 35watt ballasts.
Mina Gallery Intake tube
Using the stock air box with a BMC air filter. Here are some pics. Hope you guys enjoy. Oh, absolutely loving the minor mods I have done. Loving the increased supercharger whine as well. Truthfully, the car does accelerate faster. I notice it mostly in the lower to mid RPM's.

Tried to make the HID wiring as neat as I could.

So to change these bulbs. You open the sunglass holder. There's a plastic flat head screw. Loosen it. Panel drops down. Then, you remove a few phillips screws that need to come out. So you can change the bulbs. Be patient on pulling the bulbs out of the socket. They were a small PITA with me.

Lookin' pretty sharp Brandon...bloody good mate. I tried putting LED in my map lights, but they were too bright for me.

For your SC, as I mentioned before, you move the power band of the SC up, so yes, you'll feel it more. The bad part, you don't get anymore top end. The Eaton SC is maxed just above mid range with the smaller pulley. Thus why I stated you don't get more boost, just a different power range. But more fun to drive nonetheless.
