Unhappy Restricted performance

Today i was driving in this small road, about 20mph, and all of a sudden the amber light with RESTRICTED PERFORMANCE came up and i was at the stop sign, the car started shaking on idle and i drove a little ahead and it was gone. I don't know what that would be....

You may want to try cleaning the MAF with MAF only cleaner. You can get it at most any auto store.

Or it could be a failing O2 sensor, an air leak, failing battery, etc.

Check the cheap/easy ones...

So .... it went always by itself? or did you restart?

No other warnings -- normally you get the "trac/ ABS".

any codes?

I know people clean MAF sensors .. and they sell the cleaner. But, I had never personally had any positive result cleaning one .. nor has anyone I know .. including my independent who works on everything.
