Hi all...
I have a 2003 XJR. 2 of the 4 reverse sensors are working. Whick leaves 2 of the 4 not. I get the 6-8 sec fault alarm letting me know I have a problem.
I want to thank Thermo for his post on how to identify which sensors may be out.
Who has a link to a vendor where I can purchase these sensors?
Of course I want to stay away from my local Dealer for these parts if at all possibe.

Those don't seem to be common off-the-shelf parts. I'd check with Motorcars.ltd. There's a great guy there named Mike Gallagher. They have salvage parts as well as new. (no affiliation) Those things are probably horribly expensive from the dealer, so you might try to get them off a junk / parts car.

 

If you can't find them you can call Richard at EuroJag, or Mike at Blackcountryjaguar, both good guys and major s/h parts suppliers (oh, and cheap) If you were closer I'd pop 2 in the post.

I believe I have two or three used ones sitting on my bench at home. I need to check. Also keep in mind that they will probably need to be painted. If your interested let me know what color you need, I only needed one to get my '01's system operational.
