Ride quality getting worse

A rough running engine causes vibration, too. I cleaned the part load breather and significantly improved the ride quality. Drove about 100 miles today and still have slight vibration, but not nearly as bad as it was.
Jim...I thought that's what you meant, just wanted clarification. I'm pretty sure I can replace the upper mount bushings myself. That could be my next project, along with the brakes.

To break the bushing loose from the carrier, I found a socket that would just sit inside the female but the same size as the male -- two shots with the bfh and it was free. A long bolt with large washer that was larger than the female side pulled it tight. You will need to raise car and put it on jack stands so the jack can be used to lower and raise the wishbone to get the shock stem positioned.
New shocks would fix lower bushing problems.
Cleaning the maf and throttle will also smooth out the motor.
