It raises the transmission shift points by about 350 rpm's therefore moving the shift points a little higher on the power curve. That makes the car feel a little more powerful at low throttle positions. Reduces downshifts with low throttle position. Prevents torque converter lockup until about 60mph. Reduces mpg 1-2.
Above about 60 mph it has little affect.

= Fun.
Also, the suspension is set to firm if fitted with CATS.
When I get what you USA guys call a "Ricer" ******* me in the rear view, I hit S, click the kickdown as watch the driver's face "that shouldn't happen with that old man's car"......

I absolutely adore this machine. Although in 6 months i might buy me a sports car. This thing I plan on for town cruising in. The elegance of it doesn't need the rough roads of Oklahoma. So please if any of you had any ideas on a cheap elegant sports car let me know please
.

A TVR. Cheap, simple as a tractor mechanically, looks like nothing else on the road, sounds like nothing else on the road, not exactly elegant but more than makes up for it with brute will. Then again, I'm a little biased and the last one was sold here new 10 years before you were born. Best bang for the buck (must not fight my fingers typing) woud be a first gen Miata.
