S/C car rev limiter question

S/C car rev limiter question
Hey all again...
got a question....
Do the S/C cars have an "in gear" rev limiter...
when i do a holeshot in sport mode and the car is broiling the tires, the car is a bit of a handfull so i cant quite get a good look at the tach, and it seems a though i hear, and or feel a rev limiter, but i cant tell for sure... the tach is really too small to get a good look at to see what the rpm's are at... when all the mayhem is going on.. LOL
this is a first and second gear shifting situation where i am hanging out in second during the burnout....at high rpm's...basically with the trottle pinned to the mat...
TIA for any info... Gerry

The rev-limit is set at 6200rpm on the s/c cars.
You may be interested to know that the s/c cars did not have an uprated & strengthened diff-it's the same unit as in the 4L normally-aspirated cars.
The diff does not have a large safety margin when fitted to the s/c cars, so constant hard use runs the risk of bearing wear or teeth shearing on the pinion-the greatest stress happens during full-bore getaways in 1st gear & there have been cases of diff failure in a few s/c cars...
