Seat Adjustment - Tall Mechanic

Seat Adjustment Failure - Tall Mechanic
So, I recently took my Jag to a very tall mechanic and my driver's seat was set to automatically move back when I removed the key and and move to my memorized position once I put the key in. Well, after I got it back from the mechanic, I put the key in and the seat moves up, thankfully, but it now makes a noise like it's missing teeth as it moves forward or backward. (I'm afraid it will get stuck, so I just turned the automatic function off.)
I'm pretty sure that when the 7-foot man got in and put the key in, the seat started moving forward and his knees were in his face. I could just imagine him in there bracing himself while the seat was automatically folding him up like a taco, lol.
Is it possible that the track or something was stripped in the gearing; and, if so, suggestions on what I'll have to replace to fix it.
Thanks in advance

I know there's a thread on the rebuild of these by a member, its been a few years, but I believe the gearing was neoprene?
So, you tried to do the taco shell seat routine on him did ya?...lol. I can see the fear in his face now.
Do you have the X308 Workshop Manual for review to get to the seat drivers?

Yes, I'm sure he was cussing me as he was being folded up!
I do not have that manual. I did look on Ebay and I could buy a replacement track with a motor, but the motor seems to work just fine... if that's what I'm needing or if there are gears that can be replaced. Not sure which is more economical. I'll search for the rebuild and see if I can find it.
Thank you kindly

So here's Avern's dropbox link for the X308 Workshop Manual. Its way to large to post on site, so you'll have to download it from the link.

Here's a source for motors and such, Dave is a real good guy and his pricing is good, tends to get in new old stock... https://shop.everydayxj.com/
