Seat control module
HI guys. Have fitted some 5way electric seats from an X308 my99 in my X300 my 96.
Seams yhay i didnt do enough resaerch before i did this...
But here the question for you guys. I've looked throught the wiring diagram and have found out thtat this is completely different between the X300 and the X308.
But is there anyway of getting this to work just getting positive and ground to the modules or do i need the CAN for it to work ??
No memory is needed just the abilyty to adjust.
THansk for answers if there getting here

Well I certainly didn't try it, but I know a thing or two about electrical circuits. If you supply the ground, and the voltage to the switch, the seat motors HAVE TO WORK. It will not work with the memory button or the remote, but as long as the motor has the ground and the voltage, it will work.
That said,.....you will (most likely) have to bypass the existing harnesses, and wire it directly, but it can be done.
Anyway,.....just an opinion without experience in this matter, but I wired a lot of things in my life, and the my life depended on the wiring at that time.

If it were my car and I wanted the newer seats I would wire EACH motor to the old seat module and position sensor locations. The motors and sensors should work the same as long as they are wired to the correct locations on the module harness.
It might be tedious but an electrical guide, some splicing and heat shrink tubing will get it done.
