Default Seat restoration - leather dye

I came across this thread from a memer than used dye on their seats with great results - https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/i...results-90629/

Unfortunately the links are invalid and it doesnt seem the company mentioned is still around. Does anyone know where a similar product can be found either in the US or ships to the US? Would like to use the same product if possible as his results looked great.

Thanks guys, can't beat the for response time. The first link gives you double the product for the same price. Have you guys used these products? Is either much better? I do know that some (poor quality) leather dyes will just sit on top of the leather and flake off. Just looking for some first hadn experience if you have any.

I have used the SeatsRestore product, as have many other forum members. Excellent product and perfect color match.

Finally got around to applying the SeatsRestore product that Carnival Kid recommended and must say that I'm impressed! I put on two light coats a few days apart, then applied Pledge Furniture Polish with a top coat of quality leather conditioner. They came out looking like new, very pleased. Hopefully they wear well, I guess only time will tell. I wish I knew about this years ago, I can think back to so many cars that would have benefitted from this...The first three photos are the seats before applying the dye, but after cleaning. The last 4 is the end result.

Thank you! Yes, very pleased. I really appreciate the guidance. I think I've gotten them at least 5-6 more sales after people seeing mine.

It's funny, I originally only wanted to the the front because the rear seats were in great shape. After doing the fronts the rears look terrible! May need to order some more and do the rears as well.

This looks awesome, unfortunately I've already ordered the Seat Doctor stuff. But it's color matched to VIN also.

Did you need to fill anything with filler, or did you literally just apply the dye?

How's it holding up?

I did not use the filler when I did these. I simply applied the dye, then furniture polish (as recommended by the dye supplier), and then leather conditioner. I had the car for 6 months or so after doing the seats and they held up great, no issues. Car is long gone now, but interestingly enough I recently acquired a 2000 XKR that needs the same thing done with the seats. Ordered a new kit and will hopefully get them done within the next couple of weeks.
