Default Seat upholstery

Hello all,
I just got tensioner work completed and a few other things. Now it is time to get my 98 xj8's front seats done. Anyone get theirs done lately? If so, how expensive was it?

I'd be interested to see what it'd cost me to get the interior of my XJ tip-top... Taken care of all the rust, resprayed the car (factory color, Carnival red).. Now for the inside!

I'm making my rounds today to get quotes locally, I have scuffing & cracks on seats no rips. I will post pics(weather permitting, hurricane alley here lol) & quotes later.

If only some of us were that luck... Haha, my seats are not only ripped/torn, but on the drivers seat, it's separated at the seam on the insert.

In my case "done" = scuffs repaired, cracks filled & dyed/painted to match.

Default Wrecker Yards and Craigslist

I'll throw this out there.... Don't neglect looking around for another set from a wrecker yard or Craigslist. I got lucky a few months ago, and found a pretty near perfect set of AGD front, back and center console (with perfect cupholder too!), for $260 bucks locally here on Craigslist. Best money I ever spent on the car. You may even get lucky and find a set with heat.

Having the driver seat surfaces redone (sans headrest) on my jag was $500 in Northern California, using some sort of vinyl. Leather quote was $1000. The style match is absolutely perfect, color match 9/10. This would probably be cheaper in a less labor-expensive area.

Getting back to this, I had both front seats done(scuffs repaired, cracks filled & dyed/painted) quoted for 180$. The weather turned nasty & the mobile guy had to use my facilities so I paid 150$, they turned out awesome I would up a picture but that would be of no use since I don't have any before pics.
