At this point they pretty much all need entirely new suspension and its cheaper to get another used car than to get your X308's suspension rebuilt. Right now it seems I see an X350 every couple of weeks though which is more than I was seeing a few years ago. They're still new enough to not need any repairs too terribly expensive and now cheap enough to have migrated into my neighborhood.
san Antonio, I also live fairly close to the dealer so I see them on I-10 on occasion too. The suspension is the least of my worries in my x308

So in the last 6 years it’s seems like the few left on the road have gotten awful with many of them in more southern locations I still see a lot when I go to California every couple months but other than that the have vanished from outside of major cities

The answer is in this thread: look back and see how many of the original responders are still subscribers.

On the Facebook page for X308s it seems every other post is about a guy parting his out (most of these are UK cars). After 20 years they wears out and it takes a labor of love to keep any car up as they age.

308s are probably less numerous because of transmission issues. Thunderbirds, Lincoln LSs and S-Types are like cockroaches in every major city.

The real winner is the X350 where there's still tons of nice ones on the road. E65 BMWs and D3 A8s...not so much.

I just purchased a 2002 jx8 beautiful condition with a dead transmission for $750 usd and a 2001 xj8 pristine, dead differential. for 1500. It is on the road.

They are all over the internet for sale in the Baltimore Maryland USA area, but they all have big issues and not worth it to pay others for repairs,

Occasionally I see others on the road, pretty rare.

I think the xj8 is the classic beautiful car.

ive got a silver x308 and an s type r with another x308 coming if I can work out a deal with the owner, I noticed today that there might be more x308s left than the x or s type i haven’t seen one of those especially an s type on the road in probably two months other than mine I passed both an x300 and x308 on the way to work today in the s type both just dirty but other than that in good shape. Still not many of any ford era jag left. When was the last time you saw an x-type compared to x308
