Select Warranty Buy-Back???

So I bought a Select 03 XJR with 45k about 1.5 years ago. Of course I bought the car in good faith considering I was paying a premium in buying a "Select" vehicle directly from Jag. Well later I ran a Carfax to find the car was bought back under Lemon Law. The sales rep tried to downplay it by saying that CA Lemmon law is obsurd and that many of the "Select" cars are CA lemon...
Nonetheless, according to the Select Edition information on the web, each Select car is to come WITH clean CarFax and this CarFax is to be presented at time of purchase(I'm assuming we have to sign something no?) None of which was the case for me. The car is still under Select warranty...
Of course my concern is that I paid top $ yet I may be in big trouble when I go to sell the car with a Lemon Carfax.
So my questions are:
Do I have case to have the car bought back?
If so, who does this - the dealer or Jag?
Do I start with Customer Relations?

This would be between you, the dealer, and the laws of whatever state you are in. (California?). Jaguar of America wouldn't have any involvement as far as I can tell (they didn't sell you the car, the dealer did. If laws were violated, it was the dealer that violated them)
Check with your local Better Business Bureau or state Attorney General and see what laws apply. You may have to establish that the dealer intentionally misrepresented the car.
The fact that 1.5 years have gone by might work against you.
IF it is determined that the dealer should buy the car back there would almost certainly be some sort of age/mileage depreciation.
Youcan take a run at "diminished value". The car is obviously less valuable with a branded title. I think you have a better chance at that than getting a repurchase, frankly.
Have you discussed this with the dealer?
Good Luck
