Senior Kitty Home
Well, back from the body shop. Sorry, took a photo of the bumper, but it really didn't show up very well. You'll have to take my word that they look great (well, a lot better that the PO brush-painted attempt at repair).
So...the former rusty wheel arch:
Old rusty part removed
How it looks now:
Repaired wheel arch
Rear window removed, and rust at lower corner removed:
Headliner restored. Even managed to match the color pretty well:
New headliner; note that the sunroof panels weren't recovered, and the color is a pretty close match.
Only gotcha is that the glass guy, while he did manage to successfully attach the rear mount for the 3rd tail light, did not connect the rear window defrost wires and installed the rear trim before doing so. Have to take off the C pillar trim to reattach the connections. Oh well, nothing is perfect, but not too difficult to rectify. Always something, right?

No you can't Andrew. So, spent some quality time this afternoon washing, vacuuming, treating the seats to some more Leatherique, shampoo'd the floor mats, cleaned the wheels, treated the tires.
Result:
Hope I'm properly presenting and preserving the honor of the marque.

Believe it or not, those OEM wheels have NO marks on them. Some brake dust from time to time. Wish the wheels on my XF were as nice; seems the PO curbed one of them...need to get the mobile wheel place over to take out the road rash.
People go out and spend big bucks for these things and then don't watch where they're going.
But, thanks. It does drive as nice as it looks now. And the headliner is not bopping me on the noggin, which is probably the biggest plus.

Little TLC, little buffing, little elbow grease.

When you get your XF wheel repaired, would you mind telling us how much it costs? I do all my own wheel repairs, but it takes so much time and I'm so busy as it is, and my XKRs former owner parked using the force, so I might want to outsource it.
