Default Service Action S514

Continuing the saga on the Throttle Body Assembly, The car had the Throttle Body Assembly Replace in Nov 2009 which I'm assuming was in response to the TSB S514 that came out. Two questions, did this ever turn into a recall of the Throttle Body Assembly, and if so, since it was replaced, would the recall apply to the one put in too if it fails for the same reasons?

Second question and most important, I have the TSB showing the removal and replacement. How hard is it to do this, I'm considering buying a re-built unit and attempting this myself? I did it on an old Mustang but, this ain't no Mustang.......

The service action has been seen by dealers as a one time effort but since you have only had the replacement about 3 months it is certainly worth discussing with them.

Did you have problems causing the swap or did you just seize the opportunity?

Changing the throttle body would appear to be very easy although I have not had the need to find out.

Default Throttle Body Assembly Part Number

For the Throttle Body Assembly, what is the difference between part NO. C2A1444 and C2A1470EK?

I can't remember the part numbers for the S514 but I do remember that E is for Exchange and K is for a recall and the parts reimbursement is different for the dealer Parts dept.
