Default She's running smooth, with new A Drive but 1 more question please

Well the Bama guy has the sleek green 2000 xj8 vp running smooth on the first day of test, after replacing the badly cracked a drum and with all the help from great post on this site, she works. BUT, reverse is smooth like drive but seems to go into reverse better from the park position. So far that is the only detraction, though she's very driveable.

Question, I had a very difficult time trying to get the oil in and sealed from the 4 inch tire perch I used to get a level transmission. If the oil is not perfect it would be a smidge low. Would that cause the reverse situation. If so, I could take it somewhere with a lift and pay them to top it up with my oil. I would appreciate any insight on this situation.

And thanks to all previous posters on this drum replacement activity, I couldn't have done it without you. By the way my oil was black and I repaced a coil on my number three cylinder and for the first time in a long time, no warnings.......... Thanks so my Will
