Default shifting into neutral
Does anyone know how to shift into neutral without starting the car? 1998 jaguar xj8? Because my car wont start

On the front left of your gearshift console, you will find a small plug, with a star shaped head.
Unscrew that with a flat blade driver, and insert your ignition key into the hole. You will hear a small click, and you should be able to move lever into neutral.
