Two months ago I bought a pair of Kayaba shocks (one of the best Japanese brands for suspension parts) for the rear suspension and they're just great. For this price I think it's one of the most reasonable choices ($200 USD for the pair of two rear shocks including delivery). Here is where I ordered them from: Pair Of Rear Shock Absorbers for Jaguar/Daimler XJ Series XJ8 3.2 1997-2002 - 5 | eBay

I recommend you say with the original Bilsteins. I tried firmer sport shocks and hated the changes to the ride. I ended up taking them back off. There is a lot of labor in changing the rears, even if you are doing it yourself, so it's good to know how the new shocks will feel before committing to them

Thanks yeah I think it has original shocks on it and I want to put back what it had since the ride needs to be soft and cushy too hehe

The shocks are specially made for Jaguar -- you will not get the same ride with any of the aftermarket ones -- even from the same OEM.

This is true with many cars not just Jaguar -- but you will find that they will make a big difference on the Jaguar.

That is not to say that you will not be satisfied -- but most people find that teh car rides too harsh when non OE shocks are used
