didnt know these even existed! Very nice. But sadly in CH, the tax and logistic would kill me. And being it in CH, it probably means that it would be complete wreck but the old lady would tell you that it is best car on the world and not even new Jag can match it. Right after you buy it she would tell as she is happy to have that wreck out of her shoulders.

Stop it right now-just looking at that glorious V12 under the bonnet is bringing a tear to my eye for 'deserting' my previous V12 DD6 for the XJR

That model of V12 Jag is not known for being a rusty old heap as it's relatively modern. I had around 200,000km on my old V12 DD6 & it was in great condition.

Purple modern 12-cylinder Jag, it's a very unique combination for a young artistic girl, don't you think

It's also the absolute last of the V12 cars, so it's not going to be a rusty old heap & the final V12 cars were very good for reliability & the best of the V12 bunch.

Just look at that sparkling clean engine bay-I don't think this car is one of those rebuilt wrecks that will fall apart as soon as you drive out the showroom

Don't write it off just yet.

Used car market in CH has collapsed to Euro price level thanks to the Greeks, Spaniards & Italians owing more than they can pay back. Everyone asks Swiss prices but in the end they sell at the German rate, I know, my X-Type went for peanuts last Monday.

Export is not that big an issue, and the price can be hammered right down & paperwork is taken care of without too much BS. Was talking to a mate of mine from Radolfzel who buys a lot of well-maintained & pampered cars in Switzerland, and then sells them for a profit in Germany. Swiss car enthusiasts are in pain these days...

If you like what you see, we could check it our properly & investigate export options for you. I'm sure it would be worth your while. St Margrethen is only 1hr from here, I could take a Sunday drive & have a look at it.

We only want to see you happy darling, & if you buy a car here it would give you an excuse to visit. We have excellent wine in the Klettgau...

See, Sandy-even the hardened old guys on here have just melted at the sight of this magnificent V12 beast! My own XJR would be living on 'borrowed time' if I saw this car in the UK...

Now I really am missing my V12, so you've got to get this car to keep all of us happy! I'd even consider throwing my tools in the boot of my old Diesel BMW, loading up the chip fat fuel tanks & coming over to Stuttgart to change the 12 spark plugs for you

as said i have 17k and at best the car have to be driving ready for that price. I dont see it happening. They would have to sell it for about 16kCHF and even then it would be hard and painful on logistic (to manage transport over borders, all that without seeing it or having access to it),...

Leave it to my man. This guy is terrifying when it comes to buying cars. He currently rolls in a clean-as 2007 XJ 2.7D which he picked up for €11K.

Think of the business & extra income you'd generate driving around in a car like that-you'd soon become the centre of attraction arriving in a purple V12 Jag

You'd be in high demand from people wanting to photograph you next to such an exotic car, so it's an excellent business investment for your line of work-think of how purple your next calendars could be

You people make me sick!!

Just when I thought I am completely content, you had to show this thing in Switzerland!? So what do I do? I go and look in L.A.....and guess what!!?

1996 Jaguar XJ12 - $5500 (Orange County)

More miles,....but the price!!? I used to tune my XJS, and this engine has no secrets for me,.....I think I need to drive to L.A. ASAP.

Don't worry-I'm feeling a little billious too!

I had 130,000 miles on my old V12 & she still pulled with vigour-never had any engine problems & the last V12's were pretty bomb-proof. The long-stroke 6.0L V12 had masses of low-down torque, and sitting on motorways at 2500rpm was slap-bang on the torque peak, so it would just surge forward on a whiff of extra throttle.

Anyway, I thought I was content with the Bentley-but the V12 Jag just has something about it that gives you a warm glow of contentment inside from knowing just how many cylinders are living under that long & curvaceous bonnet
