Post Solution for Temperature Gauge...

i remember posting a thread on how to install an aftermarket temperature gauge...to fill you guys in our cars have a "filtered/buffered" factory temperature gauge. my original plan was to install a 2" aftermarket gauge but upon some searching i found the best solution for me and possibly for others too.

this is what i bought:

about the unit:

it works with OBDII no need to install probes.

it can measure C and F temperatures/ battery volts/ MPH or KmH / it has a RPM gauge with an automatic light sensor for dimming / best part of all if your car falls below 13.0 voltage it will turn itself off and automatically turn on if the voltages are greater than 13.0. you can adjust what voltage you prefer. so its more of a one time setup and do not touch setup!. it has alarms for temperature, speed, and RPM.

before starting the car install the unit properly and where you want it because removing it when the car is running or starting the car then connecting it rhe unit will just let it hang until you turn off the car and start it again. so install and connect first then start the car.

Mounting the unit:

Testing the unit:

Visibility during the day:

keep in mind i do have slight water/air bubbles in the reflector because i literally just installed it today. about 30 mins ago. once it evaporates im sure the reflector will look cleaner during the day.

at night it is very visible. camera could not get a proper picture because of the shutter speed and return glare of lighting but very clear and readable.

if you guys have any questions feel free to ask or if you would like me to post a video or etc. ill be happy to help

thank you for reading gentlemen and ladies!
