Spark plugs, tranny fluid, brake fluid, supercharger oil & 60k service for an 03 XJR
Trying to get everything I need to do the 60k service on my 03 XJR. Lots of questions as every place seems to say something different.
1. How many pints of Brake fluid do I need? 1 or 2 to do a complete flush of the system?
2. My book states to use NGK PFR5G-11e. Everywhere else including NGK says that it is a different number for OEM PFR6G-13E for the laser platinum. I would prefer to put int the Iridium equivlent which according to NGK is BKR6EIX-11. I'm assuming that the 5 to 6 is heat range but no idea what the 11 and 13 are. What have others used and did they like them? Also gapping. Jag manual tells me .04-.043, NGK says .052. Who's right who's wrong?
3. Wix air filter a good choice? Nothing else available locally except K&M crap.
4. What type of oil for the supercharger?
5. What type of tranny fluid for the Merc unit? Best place to get it and how much will I need? I know it was changed once already and do plan on changing it every 30k. Also from doing some searching here I'm assuming that I need to buy a dip stick? Correct? Does it come with everything I need and where does it go. Is there a spot for it already?
6. Tranny King sells a filter and gasket kit for the pan for $25, everywhere else it is close to $100. Recommendations?
Any thing else you'd suggest doing at this point. Coolant was done recently from a leak so that should be good to go for a while. All the belts look good and solid for another 15k or so easy.

Supercharger Oil
You can get supercharger oil from either a GM dealer or a Ford Dealer. If you look on the Eaton website it will provide you with the numbers. I live in NYC and do not have easy access to local dealers so I ordered mine from Jeg's. IT was $8.95 a bottle and takes approximately 2 bottles.

Supercharger Oil
I ended up having mine done at Don's Jaguar Service as I really didn't know where i could dispose of the oil safely in Manhattan. However, there is a post somewhere on this forum that suggests adding a plastic tube to a turkey baster to get the oil out. The post also tells how to check the appropriate level etc. Hope that helps.
