stabilizer link bushings
I know people say you have to replace the entire link at 50 bucks a piece, but I'm thinking you can take these bushings out and replace them. Mine are just "wollered out" at the bottom part so to speak so it "clunks" when you go over a bump. Has anyone else looked at thse to see if there is a bushing we can get to replace rather than replace the whole link itself?

Mine were like this too. I pushed out the center metal sleeve and tightly wrapped it in the material from a small #5 screw (worm?) clamp, strategically cut so that it wouldnt overlap when wrapped around the sleeve. Then I pressed that back in with a vice using sockets as receiver cups, much easier said than done, btw. Now I have nice tight end links They used to clunk, but not anymore!
Really if you got some polyurethane rod, you could machine it down to the right size and drill a hole in it. Beyond that, the only problem would be if the link "walked" to either side of the new bushing so larger flanges on the bushing could help with that.
