Default Starting on the Engine

Got it all pulled apart today. The Eaton is off to John Bond Performance next week. There used to be some information on here for a guy who rebuilds TB, builds you a new butterfly, and bores the Inlet a little. Does anyone know what I am talking about? If so can you point me toward them.

maxbore.com for the boring and the butterfly but he will not rebuild, you will have to send it to ASI (www.autoecu.com) for that. Good luck!

Are you having issues with your TB that you need to send it out for rebuild? If you're not, just send it out for the maxbore modification.

Thanks.. I am not having a problem with it, so if I can just get away with having the mods done I will go that route.
Greverrr, I have seen a lot of your vids, with the different exhaust setups, good stuff. I especially like the work you have on your deck lid. It is a much cleaner look than stock.

Thanks ym37tech, the compliment is very much appreciated as it is often overlooked. A little sheet metal filling welding and viola! You'll be happy with the service George provides at maxbore, he's a real professional. Thanks again

Your welcome, and in the interest of full disclosure, I plan on totally copying it. Are you just opening the trunk now with the fob, and cabin button? When I saw that originally I thought you had positioned it so you could use the key in the loop on the "R" badge. The in progress pictures are big help.
What springs did you lower yours with? I went with the Mina Springs, and KYB's as well. I actually didn't measure it before replacing the springs, and I could swear that it almost sits higher. I guess 16 years of spring sag took its toll.

Very cool. As they say, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery and I do take it as a compliment. You are correct, I operate with the cabin button and fob, and I am well acclimated to the anatomy behind, so if needed I can pop the trunk manually through the plate holes if I ever was stuck a pinch with losing keys. With that being said, I do believe you could incorporate and keep the key hole while still looking good with a little ingenuity.

For the exact result you have had with mina springs was exactly why I opted to modify the dead springs on my oem springs. I had heard many people had to cut their mina springs after realizing it didn't go as low as desired, so I decided to modify my oems before I spent the money and cut the minas anyhow. The spring feel and ride remained the same as before the modification and I was happy with the height result, so I have stuck with it. Its been something like 4 years now and no catastrophic spring failure... yet
