Steering wheel switches

Steering wheel switches
Hello from Denmark.
I own a 2002 XJR and have my car doesn't seem to have backlit illuminated switches in the steering wheel. IE. the cruise control, stereo volume etc.
It goes without saying that this is very annoying at night!
All other switches in the dashboard works OK.
So my question is, do I have a malfunction in the steering wheel?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Steering wheel switches
Greetings,
You're lucky, you can see your steering wheel controls about eight hours before I can see mine...but we all have to wait for daylight, there is no illumination for them.
Side question, do you have any hydrogen cars there? I think it's Iceland where they are common, just wondering about your home.

RE: Steering wheel switches
Hi there JagTech.
Thanks fo the quick reply. So odd Jaguar didn't illuminate the switches.
But unfortunately no hydrogen cars here, due to lack of filling stations with H2. IMHO hydrogen is THE coolest (no pun) technology today. I know that in Germany several filling stations exist and that some commercial H2 powered cars do function as a "daily" driver ie. the BMW 750 Hli etc. etc.
