Sudden engine problems

I really need your help. After some intense driving engine problems showed up. All of a sudden the car just stalled on me. And now engine makes awefull loud ratling/ticking noise above 2k rpms. It's really a most terrible noise and it seems to be making the noise at all times before 2k rpms but it really becomes as if the engine is about to explode if you go about 2k rpms. Car stalls randomly.

Here is a video of the sound, I noticed that the oil is brown aswell. Could it have suddenly overheated without a warning and then broke a rod?

First you need to check on the health of your secondary valve chain tensioners. It is possible one of the tensioners failed and the chain skipped a tooth. Anyway, there are numerous threads on this site re this problem, and you need to do a search and some reading.
If that is the problem, and you have never sinned, then you might be able to just replace the tensioners, reset the chain timing, and all will be well again.
More ominously, a chain may have stretched due to a tensioner failure, requiring a secondary chain replacement plus new tensioners.
Even more ominously, a secondary drive chain may have skipped two teeth or more, bending a valve. This requires removing a cylinder head, replacing valve(s) and possibly piston(s), reinstalling the head, then replacing chains and tensioners.
Beyond that, though less likely, a primary valve train chain and tensioner may have failed.
It is also possible that a variable valve timing component may have failed, though again that is less likely.
So, to cut to the chase, your problem is a few hundred to a few thousand dollars to cure.

Darn it.. Ah well I'll hope for the cheaper fix and pray for the well being of my beautiful v8. I have to add that I checked the oil and it was brown afterwards. I'm really scared since it will be a hell of a job to fix it.
And I apologize for not using the search button well enough, I just freaked out the moment it happened.

I found out that the oil is brown/black and smells a bit burnt. Also there is almost no oil on the oil dip at all! just the point of it is covered with dark brown oil. Did the oil pump broke? resulting in no oil in the crankshaft, resulting in overheating and eventually failure of one of the bearings?
I added some lucas oil and two quarts of mobill premium in, it did result in a slightly better starting and running engine but still only when the engine gets to normal operating temperature is when the knocking sound in the block starts.

Strangely when adding the oil, the oil level doesn't really rise. I'm not sure how long it is suppose to take but I'm afraid that if there is something wrong with the oil and the oil does not circulate and I keep adding oil, the pressure will rise and eventually blow the engine up?
Anyways I hope it's just running very very low on oil and some lubrication will make it run better again, will go and try to get an oil change and see how much comes out. If not I guess I'll have to change the engine.
I found a cheap engine with about 100k on it for $300, the seller says that it has the tensioner problem. Other engines I found vary atleast a grand.
