sunroof wont stay closed and drivers window wont open
Driving home last week lost the water pump tensioner and belt car overheated had it towed to my mechanic who replaces both belts and the tensioner .....when I got in car my sunroof as open so I tried to close it and no matter where it I stop it I fully opened tilted up half way closed within a few seconds it always opens back fully open .....after playing with it for 30 minutes or so I took the inside liner piece off of the inside to get a better look still opens fully then on my way home tried to open drivers side window and it won't go down at all I can hear something maybe motor when I push the button but it stays up ....I opened the top console closed the sunroof and pulled the switch wire sunroof still opened did the same and pulled the motor connector and it stayed closed noticed the motor was very Hot so now the motors unhooked and my drivers window stillvwont come down all the others on that switch pack work and everything worked when it was dropped at my mechanics ......please help me

Have you tried you "all down" activation with the key in the drivers door? I don't have a sunroof on mine, but it sounds like the motor is going south (brushes most likely) and its probably just coincidence it happened after the repair.

Also be sure your positive battery terminal is corrosion free. If there is any corrosion on it, it is almost guaranteed to be down in the cable and you'll never get it out, so thus will need replacement. That corrosion will cause lots of ghosts and you'll never solve them until that cable is replaced.

You guys are the greatest
As always you guys were spot on a quick reboot and everything is working as it should this site is an invaluable tool for those of us new to jag ownership I really appreciate your quick responses as I was sending it back to my mechanic that morning to diagnose the problem a quick call saved me who knows how much
