The pulley is smaller, thus causing the SC to come into its power band quicker (or wind up faster). But it also creates a quicker run out. That meaning, the Eaton M112 has a max to which it provides power and this causes that max to come quicker also.
I bought one to put on, but have decided to go twin screw. If your interested in the pulley, PM me, other than that I'll put it on ebay. Its stated as a 10% performance gain.

Not it my book, you're accessing the torque window earlier - this is FUN! Along with a little mod to induction and exhaust and it's a quicker car from standstill.

From a fun standpoint, no...its not bad at all. I would recommend sooner service intervals though, because your working those bearings harder.

I did the upper pulley upgrade, the one where you needed to machine the snout. It cost like $160 on ebay. like this one:

I took the SC off the car, rebuilt it with the $80 ebay kit with SKF bearings and such:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJR-...!US!-1&vxp=mtr
Did valley hoses underneath, and just went through things. I was in a total of about $400 for everything. My dad machined the snout on the lathe at work. There are other methods people have used to machine the snout like belts on a drill to sand off the metal, but I have access to a machine shop at his and my works.
I'd say that the difference is perception of power, it comes on quicker, which for my B road driving the car primarily does is a nice difference. I'd say it was worth it, but I was going to rebuild my SC anyway so it made sense.
