Surging on light throttle

I have an 03 XJR w/R1 package, I love my cat and this is the only problem I've ever had, well, not really a problem but an annoyance.
Car has about 77k on it and since about 60k it's been surging when holding speeds up slight inclines. You can feel the whole car lightly surge regardless if it's in sport or comfort mode. If I try to hold 25-35 mph I can definitely feel a surge.
I have cleaned the TB, Part Load Breather and MAF. Is this just a by-product of drive by wire, or should I look deeper into any of the components.
No codes, no check engine light, ever.
Thanks,
Andy

This really feels more like a lean surge than something trans related. I was leaning towards O2 sensors as I believe they are the originals, but wanted to poll for some additional clues before dropping a grand.
I don't like to do shotgun parts replacements to find a problem. I'm going to upgrade to a better code reader and see if I can spot anything when I duplicate the condition.

I realize you may not be changing these, but wanted to offer an alternative price if you do.
