Switchs bulbs troubles - XJ308

Hi !
I have changed the bulbs of both the fog lamp and trip computer switchs of my XJ308. I thought they were dead. Note: the switchs are operating well even if the bulbs are out.
Now, the new bulbs have been mounted but are still not working when I switch on the lights.
Remarks: at the same time the lightings of the cruise control and gearbox sport mode switchs are out while the main beam is on (as if the two bubs are blown as well).
Somebody knows what should be the trouble ?
Thank you !

I think something may have been lost in translation here.
The front fog lamps will only work if the side lights (parking lights) or dipped beam headlamps are on!
The front fog lamps should go out when main beam (brights) are activated!
I know this is UK law, so I assume (I know that is only making an *** out of U and ME) that it is a Euro wide lighting law, as we are all ruled by those unelected ******** in Brussels.

Thank you for your answer Bcrary3,
The fog lamps (front & rear) are operating when the switchs are on (leds OK). But at night, with the main beam is on, the miniature light "blue" bulbs which should enlighten the switch are still off... the same for the other switchs (trip computer, cruise control and gearbox sport mode switchs).

Local laws are more relevant in the country of delivery than the EU guidelines... So Britain had a different lighting law compared to the rest of the EU...

Yes, there is something wrong in the translation: are you saying the lights, that tell you the switches are on, are not lighting? The actually lights, light: correct? The lights to the cruise control and sport transmission are also not lighting when you pull the high beam stalk? But, otherwise they light?
You need to grab the electrical diagram for the European version of the car and trace those circuits. Most likely, a fault in the multifunction switch.

When you have the high beam/main beam (the dash indicator is illuminated blue)?
My car, when I have the fog lamps on (front) do not operate when just the parking lights are on OR when I have my high beam/main beam on. However the rear fog lamps are always functional.
