Have you tried running the arm outside the tank? I ask because I'm curious if your dash indicator unit could be bad?
I also would question a ground...bad/poor grounds tend to show up when the item is in a fluid.
As for a fuse, I believe it should be apart of the fuel pump harness...R4 boot fuse box.

I will try out of the tank
I did not think it uses ground as its all plastic and I assumed 1 wire at the sender is for the lo Lt
and the other for gauge readings
but that cant be as no neg or pos is connected to the sender
I will check and get back to you when I have a better look at the sender to see if it pickes up ground neg from the tank .
I have checked the ground to the tank spade terminal all good
will check fuse and get back to you
thank you for your help
again!

Funny. I just happened to be trolling from the X300 forum and saw that you have the same issue as I had, and I think, after a few weeks of trying different things, I got it fixed. I replaced two items and am not sure which one it was. Parker7 was the one that gave me the suggestions. First, I tried to replace my ignition switch, which might have fixed it, but I took it one step further. He recommended checking the ignition switch ground. I took it off, cleaned, and sanded all the grounds underneath the consol and the ones in the left headboard. So that you know, I was also having sporadic Airbag Warning and traction control. I have not seen any of the issues over the last few days.

The switch is pretty easy to change out. Took 15 minutes max. Pull the shroud off the steering column. Use a very small flat screwdriver to pull the two screws out. Be careful not to lose those. Pretty easy to do so. Under the Ski slope behind the shifter, the grounds are in the middle console. First, pull the battery cables off to keep the sparks to a minimum. Take off the nut. Sand each connector with some fine sandpaper. Blow them off. Clean the stud that they go back on and replace them. I would do the same on the heel boar. Left if steering wheel on the left and right if on the right. I really don't think the heel board needs to be done but I did it just in case. Could not figure out where the ignition switch ground went to. Goes to one of those points and looks like the middle one.
