Hello all, I’m replacing the oring seal for my thermostat housing as it’s leaking, but I cannot get this connector that’s on the bracket mounted to the housing off. ( I got the top connector off just by pushing on it as always ) but the bottom is attached to a bracket and doesn’t slide off easily and is super brittle. Any tips?
It took me a long time to understand your question, because the word "off" is lost at the sentence's end - while it needs to be homed behind the word "connector".
So, first I thought, you can't get the connector (i.e. cannot buy it anywhere), but you can't get the connector off...
It's already dark in the Sydney-time-zone, so I can't check on my X308, but if it is that kind of connector, I am thinking of, then coming from underneath with a tiny clock-maker's screwdriver along the metal bit, where it is stuck on, to move a little plastic latch out of the way, might solve the problem...
PS: I posted a quick reply, since you might still have a few minutes of daylight left in WA...

On the underside of that knock sensor connector (closest to the thermostat housing) is a plastic tang that you push towards the thermostat housing and then slide the electrical connector downwards to release it.
