Default Thinking about this one...??

It's at BritishAutoAZ.com He's done some work on it. No accidents, it has the tensioner kit and he did a blowback test on it. I went and drove it. Lot's of power, very clean motor...cold ac. Any thoughts?

It's a shame about the rims. If it had stock rims I'd be serious about buying. As it is, it helps me talk down the price of a local XJR I'm looking at today.

Says in the add that it has the original rims if prefered. This IS a good deal. I'd try to take both sets of rims (to "sweeten the pot"), and sell the fugly aftermarket rims on Craigs (BIG market for fugly rims on Craigs!). Even without this, it seems like a great deal.

Oops, I missed that part. With stock rims it seems like a deal.

He doesn't have tires on the stock rims. I would have to buy tires, he says, but he would mount them.

Shouldn't a car come with tires? LOL!

Take it "as is" and take the stock rims too (included in price). Offer five bills less than he's asking (show him the wad while you are making the offer!). Go buy yourself a new set of tires for the stock rims, put the aftermarket rims and tires on Craigs, and you are DONE. Altogether, this will end up costing you about 5K+ (under 6 for sure). You will never find another one for that kind of small change.

Fugly . . . Cool. A gerund and an adverb which really describes those rims
